We respectfully petition the ACT Government and the City Services Directorate to commit to the following upgrades at Duigan St Park & Playground:
Prioritising Safety:

Replacement of outdated structures with new equipment that meets Australian Safety Standards.

Strong desire for soft fall rubber for increased safety.

Fence area for younger children.

Accessible path upgrades for individuals with mobility challenges.Installation of additional shade structures (e.g., shade sails) over key play areas and seating.
Age-Specific Play Zones:

Diverse & Engaging Play: Desire for a "well-structured, engaging playground to suit children of varying ages."

Younger Kids (0-4 years): A need for a semi-fenced area with a slide, toddler swings, child swings, a see-saw or roundabout, and early learning walls.

Bigger Kids (5-12+ years): Features such as larger climbing walls, ladders, slides, and multi-use climbing frames.
Enhanced Seating and Rest Areas:

Installation of additional, durable, and ergonomically designed seating, including benches with backrests and community tables for meals.

Strategic placement of seating to maximise supervision of play areas and offer shaded resting spots.
