Volunteering

As a Volunteer you plan an important role in keeping the park maintained. 

There are certain steps you will need to undertake to Volunteer in a maintenance event, the first being to read through the TCCS Volunteering Handbook. 

What You Need To Know

Log Volunteering Hours

You can register as a Volunteer under the Parks & Places Volunteering Portal. ​​​

 Once your account is set up, you can log your Volunteering hours with our group. 

 

All volunteers must  have signed the Volunteer Activities Report Form before beginning activities. 

Personal Protection 

Volunteers have and will use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment eg. gloves, covered shoes, long sleeved shirt and pants, hat, drinking water, sunscreen

Volunteers must not work within 3m of a road edge

Equipment

​Hand tools and equipment can be brought to an event, however volunteers should know how to use them correctly before starting any activity​

Incidents

A qualified first aid person is identified and first aid kit are on site at all times. 

If you have an injury while volunteering, you will need to tell the Volunteering Coordinator so it can be logged with TCCS 

Young people under the age of 15 are supervised and have parent/legal guardian permission to participate
